We splurge and get private rooms
every where we can (usually not possible at Thorong
Pedi). So our average nightly bill for rooms,
meals and drinks was Rs 1040 or about ($7.40 each).
In Jomson we pig out on yak steaks
and enjoy our cocktails. It is also the only place
on the trail where they don't provide free meals to the
porters. Attached is the bill for two days with
nice private rooms, good hot showers and lots of food
and cocktails. About $140 or 34.80 a day
each. Outrageous? No, we will stay there again
next time. |
