Looking west toward Tibet and the trail down to Muktinath

After about 5 hours of steep downhill the town of Muktinath comes into view. This is the only day on the trek where there are not guest houses every few hours.

We have tried a number of guest houses in Muktinath and this trip we ended up back in the North Pole.  When the owner remembered Bill (he's hard to forget) we got a good discount on the rooms.
