Finding information about hiking off the main roads of Angkor was non-existent.  But, our driver was pretty sure he had heard of someone going from the east gate to the south gate of Angkor Thom.  We walked into the east gate from a small group of huts by the Western Baray.  There were no warning signs and we found a great path on top of the wall. the walk was so nice we then went from the north gate back to the east gate.

We found a beautiful trail on top of the wall with recent foot prints and bicycle tracks.
